Twas the night before Christmas and all
through the town a barn full of animals was all could be found.
The birth of the Savior was happening soon in a Bethlehem stable
cause there was no room.
In a manger in the center of the barn He would lay, with hay for a bed come this Christmas day. Mary and Joseph and Angels on wing would witness the birth of the King of Kings.
Three
wise men would come and bring Gifts from afar, a long journey
on camels following a star.
Men of great wealth and wisdom were they, paying tribute to Christ
born on this day.
Then
what to my wondering eyes should appear but a baby in a manger,
Jesus is here!
In small strips of cloth they wrapped the sweet child so precious
and loving so tender and mild.
He wasted no time
but went right to His work of saving the world and healing its
hurts. He desires that we all do our part to spread the good news
that changes each heart.
The Angels exclaimed
before they flew out of sight.
To shepherds in fields on a star lit night.
Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior which is Christ the Lord... Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace, good will to all men."
