Life Cycles

The Coming Of Spring always makes me think of Gods creation and how he brings about the cycles of life. I love Dogwood trees. My little home is surrounded by fourteen of them. The Dogwood is one of the few trees that has a different foliage for each season; Blossoms in Spring, Green leaves in Summer, Red Berries in Fall, and of course barren in Winter which gives it time to regenerate the Blossoms for the soon coming Spring. God in his wisdom even gave the Dogwood Tree time to rest for a season. In my office there is a signed print of Dogwood Blossoms that was painted by Brenda Harris Tustain, a local artist. It was the first Painting I purchased when I came to WWEV 21 years ago. It is still my favorite. It reminds me all year of the Beauty of God’s creation and speaks volumes to me about the attention to detail that our creator applies to everything He makes.

Most people look at Winter as their least favorite season, but without Winter it would be impossible to bring the Spring. Just as the night assures the dawn the cycles of life assure regeneration. Man too is born to experience seasons and passages from one life experience to the next. It seems though, that we are never satisfied with where we are. Children want to be teenagers. Teenagers want the independence of adults and adults want to be young again. They worry so much about getting older that they miss the best time of their lives. Every part of life was meant to be enjoyed; not rushed through or abandoned.

“To everything there is a season,” says God’s Word. There is time for everything in its turn and in God’s time. Had He not wanted us to experience all the seasons of life, He would have had a different plan.
Whatever age you are ask yourself these four questions.

1. Do I act my age?
2. Do I savor each moment of life?
3. Am I fulfilling God’s Call?

So many people are so unhappy that they are letting life pass them by waiting for something that may or may not come. We need to live life fully and if this “Something” comes along deal with it then. Stop waiting to live. Live Now! God wants you to enjoy life. He wants your life to be filled with abundance, joy, peace and love.

Stop sleeping late. Get up and enjoy the Sunrise. Take long walks, read good books, make new friends, listen to good music, turn off the TV and get to know the people around you. Don’t let a single minute of each day be wasted on meaningless inactivity. At the end of the day ask the fourth question;

4. Is God pleased with how I used His Day?

If you can answer yes to this question your sleep will be peaceful and refreshing. NoteworthyBackIssues
