. . . from the Manager's Desk

A Clear Message

We hear from many of you each month by way of letter, phone call, email or in person. One comment that comes often is this; “Victory 91.5 plays a song or set of songs that really minister to me just when I need it.”

When we hear this we are obviously happy that the station is ministering to you. The music ministers because God’s word is contained in the lyric. Many of the songs have similar messages housed in the elements of the music which is expressed in different tempos, voicing and instrumentation, but still a message based on God’s Word.

It is much like reading the Word and commenting that the scriptures always meet your need with God’s truths and that you always find something new and fresh just for you.

God’s Word contains a message of hope and life; joy and gladness; salvation and healing and much more. Those who read or hear it are ministered to because God promises that His Word will not return void.

Music is such a marvelous way to communicate God’s Word. I often hear people singing the words to the songs we play over and over which helps the message to become firmly planted in that individuals heart and mind. Once I observed some young children, not knowing they could be heard, singing aloud the words “Angels Watching Over Me,” possibly not really understanding what they were singing yet the message was there, and in those words the protecting hand of our Lord was conveyed.

It is the continued effort of this ministry to play only the music that contains a clear scriptural message so that God’s Word will go out and accomplish what He desires.

Please pray for the many Christian artists who write and perform Christian music. May God’s Angels watch over them too.

Pray for Victory 91.5 that our message will always be God’s message.
